Third Cohort letter of termination
The letter of termination was a letter sent by the (responsible official) as a result of the peace treaty signed between the Republic of Free West Island and Arensande (city state), that terminated the (Unnamed Conflict). However, when the letter reached the Third Cohort on the battle front, the captain of the Cohort (character to be named) decided to disobey the orders. He was not keen of loosing his status and the substantial loot the cohort had been gathering already, or having to make the retreat through hostile lands.

Copies of the letter were produced, in order to ensure Arensande (city state) that the Cohort had actually been commanded to cease operations against them.Historical Details
History
The Third Cohord had been making successfull advances on the mainland, and managed to build a camp there over the winter season, while continuing to force the nearby settlements to provide supplies. While some of the cohort's soldiers left the group as a result of the letter, the most swore their allegance rather to the captain than to the king. After the winter they were driven out by the mainlanders, and established their base of operations in to the Sayinyarr Highland. There they became a feared and mysterious criminal organisation for the years to come.
Legacy
The Third Cohort breaking the peace treaty was a reason that greatly worsened the Republic's situation with the neighbouring mainland city states. This eventually lead to Arensande (city state) backing up further illegal trade (ironically, often carried out by the Third Cohort and their allies), and later supporting the Zeribians rather than the Republic in the Zeribian Revolution of Der Fem.
