Mental characteristics

Personal history

Sabaš lived his earliest years on Uganbalžan. When he never learned to speak, he was realised to have been born deaf. The family later moved on Washleng. There the family mostly kept Sabaš hidden at home, because of the shame of having a disabled child, and when out demanded him not to sign. He was homeschooled by his slave Fin, that had previously served Sabaš's father's relative, that had become deaf from old age, and they learned to sign together. After learning to read and write, Sabaš dedicated most of his time studying the outside world he had spend only little time in.   When he became adult, he left for studying in the Grand Temple of Idûrfeš in Toad Cape but soon was realised to be blessed with the gift of shapeshifting He was never one of the strongest fighters, but he stood out as intelligent and well learned and was promoted to a leader.   After the Revolution, he returns back to his studies. He occasinally takes a deaf kid as his apprentice, but otherwise rarely spends time with anyone apart from his fellow Gaš Sakal.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

One of his earliest and dearest memories is of him sitting on a meadow on Uganbalžan. It was a windy day, and he felt like he was about to fly.
His second early memory is his mother yelling at him angrily (which he could hear if she yelled loud enough).

Social

Family Ties

He is the oldest son of Burwiš-Gwar Luban, the others being his brother Burwiš-Gwar Sah, and sister Sebex. His mother's name is Ledegwas. His childhood family had two general slaves, and his own slave Fin.   He and Fin were always as close as brothers, and Sabaš liberated him later. Sabaš's father refused to learn to sign with him, and didn't believe in his change of becoming anything. His mother helped him more. He was close with his siblings as a child, but grew apart from them.   Because of his disability, his father was trying to rise his younger brother Sah as his oldest son. Later Sabaš sued his father to gain his rights as the first son, and won, even though his action was widely seen as disrespectful. He was never in speaking terms with his father and brother after that, and only wrote to them when he had to.

Speech

Communicates in sign through an interpreter (usually Fin), or by writing in Ngad i zerib (Zeribian language). Is able to lipread Standard Zeribian and Uganbažan dialect. Fin knows only little Nem (Faren language).
