Personal history
Tyrgam was born a third son of a lord of the House Nezenar. He was born 590 AH in South Wašleng, but in 614 AH, at the age of 25, was send to Crescent on the command of the King in order to infiltrate King Ustetur-Sahr Šamžan's palace, posing as a baker. He survived the Crescent Eruption) and returned to Washleng, where he wrote his account presumably somewhere between 623-625 AH. After this nothing of his later life is known.

Although not the focus of his account, the document reveals his deep affection for a young man named Zimir of an unknown merchant family, who managed to flee the eruption, but perished during the famine and plague of the winter 621 AH.
