Languages of WE22 - Reading Challenge & Resolutions
My plan is to read all the language special category articles, and give some nice feedback. I'm a linguist, conlager and a language enthusiast, so I want to see what the others in the community have been up to! This was my own language article btw :) Nem script
I will continue working on the introductory and compilation articles of my world
I will tag my articles
I will translate some of the most important articles into Finnish (I've been neglecting that badly)
2. I'm going to edit my NANO draft
3. I'm going to write some prose
maybe even outside NANOWRIMO XD
Fenwith's Mùzì script has a very cool tree-like look.
Mutterwolf's Menmöv taught me how to pronounce the lateral click (or well, checking wikipedia afterwards did the teaching...)
Missizette's Izij phrases is written like an in-world guidebook, which is a fun idea.
Wantozehwes' The Language is written as prose with included lessons of the language.
Jasmine P. Antwoine's article was another nice example of prose illustating the language.
I liked the language diagram in Blue Fairy 74's article. It's simple, but it looks very clean and nice. I could use something similar!
Amélieis' article made me think of how gods could influence the development of language. I haven't paid much attention to it, even though our consept of gods seems to be similar.
Kummer Wolfe's article used "Have you eaten yet?" as a common greeting, which is a fun day to show culture in a language. I should pay more attention to creating details like that.
I liked the structure markers or evidential system in BCGR_Wurth's article I could use something like that if I end up making a large-ish evidential system in the future.
Resolutions
1. I'm going to improve the organisation of my world.2. I'm going to edit my NANO draft
3. I'm going to write some prose
maybe even outside NANOWRIMO XD
Articles that I read
I read all the articles in the language category, this is a list of ten of them, not in any particular order. I liked more than I listed here and all were fun to read ^^ Sablearadia's Lapin Semaphore had a delightfully clever idea of using Hero Forge characters for illustrating a sign language. Because sign languages are so notoriously hard to write down, this really broadened my perspective of which tools could be useful for conlanging.Fenwith's Mùzì script has a very cool tree-like look.

It's interesting to see a reading challenge focused on language! Best of luck with the organization and revising!
Thank you ^^ I hope you have good luck with your goals too!
