Saelicoria

Enter to the world of Saelicoria, a totally normal, every day high-fantasy setting. Heroic adventurers, tavern brawls, elves, dwarves, the high seas, etc. It's all there. Exactly how you expect it to be. Yep, nothing different at all.   Except that dwarves are hipsters, elves are retirees that try to act younger than they are, humans are that crazy race that acts way outside of common sense and keeps planting villages in the weirdest places (ice sheet, the banks of an active volcano, etc.), gnomes are like pests that steal little things, build crazy nonsensical inventions which then explode. Names for towns and geographic features are mediocre and often questioned (like High Mountain or The Dark Forest).   But villains are second class citizens in the sense that no one wants the job. After all, who wants to go work in a dungeon as a henchman, waiting for adventurers to come through and "kill" you and all your coworkers all for loot and "magical items"?   But the henchmen don't really die. The clock out at the end of their shift or to another henchman job to try to pay rent. And there aren't any magical items either.   Or are there?
