The Frozen Wastes

The Wastes are said to have been abandoned by most the rest of the world. The people who live in whatfew settlements. And for what it is worth the Wastelanders would not have it any other way. They live a hard but fulfilling life. What few have not only survived, but found a way to thrive in their frozen land. The monsters of this land are just as hardy and intimidating, and that they are hunted for food says much of the people who live in this land.

Geography

Thick with snow that falls in a perpetual winter the south encompasses a fair amount of mountain ranges and forests. The region has a few large lakes which are fished and a number of caverns in each mountain.

Fauna & Flora

What trees and plans that do survive in the wastes are strong and sturdy, able to survive on sunlight and constant snow the typical year. Although individual plants can be populous in favorable locations, relatively few plant species tend to be represented in a given place leading to most areas being dominated by two or three plants. The wastes while lacking in lush vegetation has bred many species the fiercest of the common threats being beasts both magical and natural.
