The Bloody Coin is a magical artifact that is inert except for one day a year. On that day a connection between the Coin and the Many Layered Abyss where the Archdevil who made it accepts supplicants wealth and promise of their soul in return for power.
The exact wealth needed for power is equal to the supplicant's sacrifice. This fact is not known to the Saturday family as the archdevil has been given enough resources to fund various cults and establish itself as one of the most influential devils in the cosmos.
Significance
The Bloody Coin is the cornerstone to the Saturday Crime Family's power.
