Made by dipping a cutlass in the blood of slain enemies with prayers to Aeon those with the hatred and malice strong enough to attract the attention of an abyssal creature will find their weapon transformed as the sword takes on the plaid complexion of corrupted flesh the sword will not kill any quicker but those it wounds suffer slow and agonizing deaths.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Should the Rotten Sword draw blood then there is a good chance it will pass on the wasting disease to the victim. The wound will darken and fester as the wasting disease works its way through the body slowly and painfully corrupting the blood. The tell tale black veins show the progression of the disease as it destroys or taints the blood, each day the darkness spreads and should the disease reach the heart the victim is guaranteed to die.
