Beatrix the Witch

Beatrix Razortooth (a.k.a. the Witch)

Part of the anti-monarchist faction within the Grey Court she believes that the Grey Court could better lead the kingdom but does not want the kingdom itself to fall. She has been studying the island and doing her best to learn more of it’s power. Though she often appears young she is actually quite old, being a favored soul and accomplished sorcerer she was able to extend her life considerably.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Beatrix is actually quite older then she seems, being divinely touched she can assume the form of a youthful Orc who has just reached maturity. Yet her body has reached its limit and she knows she will die soon but she is desperate to save Scarlett even if it means the King will take his throne.

Personal history

Born near the Kingdom of Scarlett Beatrix was born from conflict, her father had attacker her mothers tribe and thought to make the orcess suffer as the orcs had made human women suffer. Her tribe had never done such things but these humans were nobles who had suffered under Jaged the Third's support if Orc and Human relations. The tribe had recently joined Scarlett and when they brought this to agents of the King the noble was deposed and her tribe was given his lands.
Under the rule of Jager the people flourished and several months later Beatrix was born but her mother did not hate Beatrix. In fact she was lauded as a boon between the two races as she manifested the God's favor. Yet for all the good that happened to Beatrix the elderly king eventually passed on rule to his son the Fourth Jager who was not as strong or as effective as his father. Under the rule of the new King the The Church of Man flourished, for everything the king did was turned against him and his people. This is when the King was approached by the Grey Court and everything changed. With the Court's aid the power of Church of Man was checked and the Kingdom returned to prosperity. The price was steep, the King stepped down and let his son take over the Kingdom with the aid and support of the Grey Court. Seeing the Court save her people Beatrix offered herself to the Court in hopes she could help.
In the years since Beatrix has proven herself time and time again even being considered a Sage of the arcane though she does not have anything to promote her beyond her skill. Regardless she was given the title The Witch by the Grey Oracle and sent to Forbuho to help protect Scarlett. There she has made a name for herself as the Witch but for all her work she has made few friends. When the last leader of the Grey Cloaks vanished she believed herself to be the next to lead but then Ternion the Blade came and the other Grey Cloaks easily followed his lead. But Beatrix is patient.

Motivation

Beatrix does not trust the boy King and knows the Grey Court can do a better job. She loves Scarlett and its people and will sacrifice anything to save it. But if she can make the Kingdom better while doing so she is more than willing to try.

Social

Contacts & Relations

As eldest member of the Order of the Winter she is part of the triumvirate that leads the Grey Court in Forbuho. She is at odds with the Order of Spring and cannot understand the Order of Fall.

Wealth & Financial state

Beatrix had a title and claim to a castle from her father's legacy but gifted it to the Razortooth tribe before she joined the Grey Court. Now all her possessions save for her various personal items are a part of the Grey Court.
