United Yansakan Army of the Western Campaign

Known in Yansaka as the Western Army and in Sartaldia and Jannharb as the Vultures of the Rising Run.

Composition

Tactics

Faalai's forces had often used fireworks as a way to signal over long distances as well as offensively to distract or disorient attacking forces. Firecrackers are also used in a similar fashion.   Falai: defensive jack-of-all-trades (war carts, missiles, medium and heavy firearms, mandarin duck) Shojun: offensive jack-of-all-trades (shock infantry, armour piercing arrows, light and medium firearms) Khirtsen: shock and light cavalry Bhantiet: maritime and riverine navy Ekoro: guerrilla and ambush   Ideal tactic for Yansakans: use cavalry from Khirtsen and ambushers from Ekoro to scout and harass the enemy before the battle. When in battle use defensive troops from Falai on the flanks and ranged ones in the centre, all behind war cart forts. The centre units will weaken the enemy formations with missile fire and cover the advance of troops from Shojun. War cart formations should advance while screening Shojun troops. Shojun shock troops and Khirtsen light cavalry can also be dispatched to bolster the defenses on the flanks. Once close to the enemy, use missiles to thin their ranks and charge with Shojun troops to break them. The flanks should be steadily repulsed and counter-advanced with Falai mandarin duck formations. Send ambushers from Ekoro and Khirtsen light cavalry on the peripheries to alert of any flanking maneuvers and use them to cut down fleeing enemies during and after the battle. Bhantiet troops should be used as reserves and for guarding waterways in case the army needs to be ferried. War carts can also be used to slow down enemies.
