Runnerverse

On the surface, everything seems normal and mundane, just like our world. However, wizards and other supernatural beings live, work, play and make their dealings among us. Your co-workers, your boss, your wife, your siblings, your parents, your children, their friends, their classmates, their teachers, any of them could be a super, as can anyone else in this world. Hell, even you could be one, and not even know it (It happens quite often for wizards and animabeasts.) The power dealings of the supernatural world are often murky,and navigating them often requires a lot of rules lawyering and loophole exploitation. Secret conspiracies abound, as do hidden agendas ,and no one is truly as they seem. At best, a super might be an anti-hero, with a Machiavellian mindset, and at worst, he might be an outright villain. Supernatural heroes are a thing of the distant past, something killed by the modern postwar political climate. People have a relatively neutral to positive perception of wizards, helped largely by the Harry Potter series. Other supernatural creatures face varying perceptions, from demonisation to outright sexual fetish for vampires and werewolves.
