Most of what is known of the ancient world was lost when the continent of Taurira was destroyed during a cataclysmic event known as the Path of Frost. Only legends remain of the time before, stories about an age where gods and mortals walked the earth as one. Where miracles and magic could do things know long thought impossible.   Those few survivals from Taurira fled across the sea with the help of gods and a race of elves known as the Ovra fled to the continent of Aiduan where after thousands of years have manged to build an empire known as Yrisian Empire devout worshipers of the High Goddess of Light Yris and the God of Storms Areus.   But the Empire is fracturing. A powerful Necromancer Known as the Umbral King leads a powerful alliance of Elves, Men, and Undead has struck a devastating blow to the empire. Lacking the Strength it once had the empire is tearing itself apart from within as faction and nations call for Independence and the Peripheries are under threat from both man and beast as the empire draws ever inward.   The world is changing once more and a new age is on the horizon as ancient mysteries and conspiracies are being uncovered, creatures once thought only myth and legend reawaken and powerful magic Stirs.
