Runaria

Runaria is a fantastic world of might and magic. Inspired by all aspects of fantasy, and a bit of sci-fi. Most of the setting is distinguished by magic and blade, while there are smaller factions that possess futuristic qualities.   Runaria is an entire universe, multiple continents, places, and organizations. A perpetually evolving world to host multiple campaigns, disasters, triumphs, and magic.   Runaria is the fifth planet from the Sun, and according to radiometric dating and other sources of evidence, Runaria formed over 16.5 billion years ago. Runaria's gravity interacts with other objects in space, especially the Sun and the three Moons, revolves around the Sun in 488 days, a period known as an Rune year. Runaria's axis of rotation is tilted with respect to its orbital plane, producing seasons on Runaria. The gravitational interaction between Runaria and the Three Moons causes ocean tides, stabilizes Runaria's orientation on its axis, and gradually slows its rotation. About 51% of Runaria's surface is covered with water, mostly by oceans. The remaining 49% is land consisting of continents and islands that together have many lakes, rivers and other sources of water that contribute to the hydrosphere. The majority of Runaria's polar regions are covered in ice, including the Septent ice sheet and the sea ice of the Merid ice pack. Runaria's interior remains active with a solid iron inner core, a liquid outer core that generates the Runaria's magnetic field, and a convecting mantle that drives plate tectonics. Over 1.2 billion individuals live on Runaria and depend on its biosphere and natural resources for their survival. Individuals have developed diverse societies and cultures; politically, the world has about 64 sovereign states.
