4/26/37 3FT
It is the 937th year after the 3rd fall of Tiamat.
Thrice in recorded history has the chromatic dragon goddess been overthrown by the metallic god, Bahamut.
Every cycle, the world is nearly born anew as the destruction that Tiamat reigns is far-reaching and swift.
And every cycle, the god Bahamut comes to aid the world and save it from the brink of total destruction.
Each cycle lasts nearly 500 years. However, it is now 937 3rdFT (3rd Fall of Tiamat). Tiamat has not appeared. Bahamut, seemingly the more powerful dragon god, has prevailed. Or so it seems.
As the people wait for Tiamat to once again wreak havoc upon the world, many begin to wonder if the stories of their grandparents’ grandparents are true or merely old wives’ tales. Ease sets in as life seems to be moving on beyond the reach of the dragons.
However, in the dark corners of the world, some grow impatient to see this cycle complete. Whispers of agents of Tiamat begin to surface. Distrust of any beings that resemble the dragon gods that tear apart the world every half millennia is on the rise as the world seems to be constantly in limbo. Prejudice against any and all dragonborn, no matter the color, has risen as people begin to resent their world being controlled by dragons who seem to have little interest in everyday affairs; the dragons seem only to care about their eternal struggle. The few remaining dragonborn have begun to disappear and their numbers, even the metallic loyal to Bahamut, have sharply declined.
Can this peace truly be the end of the war between these two deities or is this longer stretch merely predicating an even more catastrophic era between these dragon gods?
