King Forgescale
"King' Kaza Forgescale is the mouthpiece of Talarith, an adult copper dragon in alliance with Everdelve. He is leader of the kobolds, but they all worship Talarith and do whatever he says. Despite his claims that he is simply a servant of Talarith, Kaza is still a potent leader in his own right. He is a master engineer, and a talented sorcerer. He runs the kobold hive mind with great efficiency, pulling up great quantities of gems and metal for his dwarven allies. Even if Talarith wasn't there, no kobold in the tribe doubts in Kaza's worthiness.
Kaza's proudest achievement was his role in killing a blue dragon. Ceralos was a terror of the sands, ruling with fear and storms. Talarith and his kobolds were near the desert, and knew they had to defeat this threat before it turned it's malicious gaze toward them. Talarith thought to face it using traditional strategies: he would dogfight the dragon while his kobolds and any other helpers shot from the ground. Kaza had a different idea. He designed and built a kill zone, where they could lure Ceralos and kill him without issue. Talarith allowed the kobold his idea, but got ready to face the blue just in case. This preparation was not needed. Kaza's kill zone worked perfectly. First, once Ceralos entered the death zone a dozen ballista bolts dug into it. They were all aimed at the softer wing tissue, and while not all of them hit enough did to render the dragon flightless. Next was the fire. Flamethrowers hidden inside the stone walls activated, burning the dragon's feet. It was held by the chains on the bolts, even though it thrashed. This even held during the oil dump. Oil was pumped onto the dragon as it thrashed, encouraging the flames higher. Burning to death and held by chains, Ceralos was about to feel the worst part: the boom. Beneath the sand, enough gunpowder to vaporize a castle had been buried, and was set alight by the burning dragon's thrashing. All that remained was a pained scream and a smoking crater. Talarith was impressed. Under Kaza's guidance, these kobolds had killed a full grown dragon. All traps, not a single one of them was so much as scratched, yet there lay the well cooked bits. For his mighty deed, Kaza was given the scales of the dragon, and fashioned them into armor which he wears to this day.
