Bayta

The second continent that the Canlesiz discovered. Most of it has been taken over by larger settlements, aside from the Teeni Mountain Range communities.   (Excuse the mess: I am in the process of changing Bayta from a desert continent to a more fleshed-out location, which means some items may not match up. Yikes.)

Geography

The majority of the continent is flat, with lakes and rivers occasionally popping up.

Fauna & Flora

Animals, especially ones who thrive in hotter climates, are very common on the continent. With the lack of water on Beta, most animals have water storage systems similar to camels, with places to store excess water. These stores can last for years on end, if the animal does not exert too much energy. Large groups of animals are very uncommon, due to body heat making the temperature of the continent more unbearable, so many species do not have tight family groups or packs to speak of. The ones who reproduce through plant systems, like Canlesiz, often have flowering plants with structures similar to cacti, that can also store water to support the seeds and developing babies. There is a very cut-throat nature in the deserts of Beta, since resources are so limited, so animals are typically built stronger, with thick, durable skin and long claws designed for attacking and defending.   There are very few plants on Beta, and the ones that do grow are mostly underground, either under the soil or in deep caves that allow them to escape the heat. Many plants here develop without the need to convert sunlight to energy, and instead use similar hunting techniques to the tree-like plants on Romnuchic or more Earthen carnivorous plants like venus fly-traps. The grasslands would have to be the areas with the most amount of foliage, but even then, there isn't much variety in what grows there. A few trees were brought to Beta by travelers who wanted to start wood farms near their new homes, but many of these trees died because they weren't used to the climate of the continent. However, the few that did survive long enough to reproduce started developing an entirely new line of trees that could store water just as well as the other plants on the continent, along with having thicker bark that protected them from desperately hungry animals.

Natural Resources

With the large amount of sand on the continent, there is quite a bit of clay underneath the top layer of ground that can be used for building. This material was quite popular when the continent was first inhabited by Canlesiz, as there was a lot of it to be harvested, and you would never have to go far to have access to it. However, it has fallen out of fashion with most, as it is much harder to manipulate and use than the clay in coastal areas.   The grass growing in the grasslands is surprisingly nutritious, as it is the main food source for all the creatures who live on the continent. While it is not the best tasting, its fast growth speed, nutritional value, and abundance has made it a key component in many dishes, especially traditional dishes made in settlements on the continent itself.   While it is nowhere near being the main source of precious metals for the planet, Beta does had an abundance of one singular metal---Ronanil. However, this metal is found on all three of the other continents, and is much easier to get to, so the only people who really harvest the metal on Beta are the people who live there. It was a very popular material in the early days of the continent's settlement, as it was strong enough to be used to make tools, building components, and other supplies that early settlements desperately needed.
