As Far as Stories are Concerned

Romnuchic started off as a rough basis of a world for a story I was working on called "Limbo," which is about a young Canles who accidentally defeats the ruler of a small settlement in a duel and becomes the leader themself, only to discover that their close friend is trapped in the afterlife (thus the name Limbo) and that they have to go rescue them before they're gone for good. This story is still dear to my heart, and I hope that I'll be able to continue it soon. But since it's my only real fantasy story set in an entirely different world, I though that if I wanted to try my hand at worldbuilding, it would be a good idea to develop Romnuchic more.   And as I've worked through this world more, I've found that simply coming up with ideas for the world gives me ideas for new stories! There is so much content and adventure within Romnuchic that I'm dying to explore. I'm not really sure if this is going to stay a worldbuilding project or become the backbone for a separate story, but either way, I'm in love with this world. No matter what I do with it, I feel like it'll be important to me for a long time.   When it comes to actually making a story based on the world and the handful of events within it, I have so many ideas. Squadron BK1 is probably my favorite idea that I've come up with (mostly because I'm a sucker for angsty stories and the prospect of an Avatar-esque character with all this power and responsibility that's only really screwed them over is just a fun idea for me to play with), so if I'm going to tell a story in Romnuchic, it's probably going to be this one. As far as what media it should be in... that's where the problem comes up.   Traditional writing is really my forte, although I can do art if I'm feeling inspired. I feel like out of all the stories that Romnuchic has spawned, BK1 is the most well-fit to be told in a traditional written media. The problem is I'm not exactly sure how to tell it. I have a rough idea of who the protagonist should be, but all I know is that I love the concept, but I don't love the execution. It's a struggle that I'm going to have to deal with someday.   In the general sense of Romnuchic itself, if I just want to tell the story of the world, I think a video game is the way to do it. The main problem with this is that I have no idea how to code, or just create in general, a game. And the scale of the game would have to be pretty ambition, too, as the way I want to tell it is in a huge Breath of the Wild style open world / RPG game that allows the player to really be invested in the world and dive into several stories whenever they want.   So, in summary, I will eventually tell a story that takes place in Romnuchic, I'm just not sure when or in what form of media it will be. When I really start progress on this story, I'll make sure to make some sort of update about what's going on in the story in one of these free-form articles.
