Aquila Solar System.

The Aquila solar system has 7 planets, named according to the 7 hills of Rome. Of these the best known to the general public is the fourth, Palatinus, as it is the only living space and the one on which the main colony of the system is located. The system is surrounded by an asteroid belt, perpetually crossed by mining and transport ships thanks to the wealth of useful materials found there. In an orbit opposed to the seventh planet, Capitolinus, is the portal that connects this system with the solar system, the Ianua Aquilae (Eagle's Gate) The sixth planet, Viminalis, has several mining facilities scattered across the surface, and it is said there is also a maximum security prison for political prisoners, an allegation which is strongly denied by the government. Quirinalis, the fifth planet, is a gas giant, and for some reason it does not seem to have developed satellites. Although the issue has given rise to several debates in the imperial scientific circles, it has not been thoroughly analyzed by the Empire, which considered the planet to be of no practical use. Palatinus, as mentioned, is home to the first extrasolar colony of the Empire, founded two centuries ago. It has a climate and a diameter sufficiently similar to the Earth that no massive terraforming interventions were necessary. It is divided into six continents and several smaller islands, and currently 45% of the land is colonized, and in the last seventy years has been divided into provinces, with a planetary governor overseeing the provincial governors and reporting to Rome. On the third planet, Exquilinus, there are some scientific installations, mostly automated, whose main purpose is to study the activity of Aquila, the sun of the system. Celius and Aventinus, respectively the second and the first planet, have no human presence, however there are persistent rumors of the presence on Celius of spy stations of the Persian Empire, which, according to rumors, does not consider closed the question of possession of system, not even after theend, more than a century ago, of the Roman-Persian war to control the system.
