The Dwarves appeared from their subterranean homes.

Perhaps three millennia passed before the Fey peace was disturbed. This was when they first encountered the earth-dwelling dwarves. The two races did not get on well and immediately fell to fighting. So began the War of Air and Earth, where two races of The Light battled endlessly for nearly four hundreds of years. To this day, neither race has forgotten this terrible time which took and unimaginable toll on both races. Neither are particularly prolific and the wars took an awful toll on their numbers. It looked for a period of time as if the two races would wipe each other out completely.
