Sacred Seal of the Sea

A ritual between the Undine that dates before their proper civilization, the sacred seal of the sea is the strongest promise you can make with the Undine. The process of the ritual starts with a bowl with a couple pieces of sun-dried seaweed inside. All parties go around the bowl and the first one pricks their finger and allows the blood to drip inside the bowl and onto the seaweed, telling their promise and what they expect from the other, as well as what they promise if ever the promise was broken. The person pulls their finger back and it repeats with the person on the right of the original speaker. This continues until all parties have spoken their vows and expectations. After then, the seaweed is thrown into the ocean while the Undine chants, "Spirits of the sea, allow us to make this pact, sealed by our own blood. With this seaweed, may you carry this pact far and wide to show that this promise is as great as the ocean's great waves". The excess blood is then poured into the ocean very slowly, while the chant continues "And may you spread our blood to each and every coast, spread it to every single chasm at the bottom of the ocean, and every wave that crashes down on the surface, as this bond of blood will never be forgotten by any one of us. Every time we shall look at the sea, let this blood remind us of the duties we have to one another, lest we wish to face it's dire consequences".
