Overview

Several cities were submerged during the last rising, this of course means that there are many things of worth now sitting on the sea floor. Salvaging these cities is becoming quite the prosperous trade, now that the empire is slightly more settled, and several salvaging companies have emerged.   While there have been raiders and scavengers already looting these cities for themselves, it hasn't been as widespread as originally thought. Early on, the submerged ruins were quite unstable as they hadn't settled properly, there was also the added danger of this new threat in the seas, that had come with the last rising. This made scavenging the cities very dangerous work.   Empire will pay for reclamation of materials, valuables, and sealed records or treasures.   Individuals may seek out salvagers to reclaim personal belongings they feel may have survived the flood.   Some religions hire salvagers to recover relics or artifacts, sometimes even requesting whole statues be reclaimed.   Salvaging has been made a legal profession, and all salvage companies and individual contractors must adhere to the new regulations. When a salvage crew takes on a job they must must obtain an Imperial salvage writ, which must be presented upon request by any Imperial official.   Progression: based on reputation.   Ruin divers   deep sea wreck salvagers   dive ancient ruins.   Salvage companies have been known to sign on entire crews and their ship, though they fall under the same rules and regs as individual salvagers.   Can be employed a salvaging company or be an independent operator.
