Farshim Dewberry

Brief History

Farshim and his brother Nervin were traders for over a hundred years, having taken over the family business from their parents. They travelled the length and breadth of the continent and made good money from it. After a while they both decided that they had been travelling for long enough, but neither liked the idea of not working, that was for old men. They settled down in the growing farming town of Cliffton, now known as Cliffport, and opened a general goods and merchants store.
They ran the business together for about 80 years years, until Nervin died fifteen years ago. Farshim now runs the busniness along with the help of his two nieces Arma and Brilldelle. Farshim never married, but dotes on his brother's two daughters, and also see's that his widow is looked after.

Appearance

Farshim is showing signs of age now, there are streaks of silver in his red beard and hair and his face is weathered and lined. He still has broad shoulders and strong hands but he walks with a little more of a stoop that he used to. He wears the traditional merchant clothes and colours of his clan, but in the best materials and sewn by the best dwarven tailor in town. His hair in wears in two braids and his beard is always well combed and oiled. He still takes pride in his appearance.

Personality and Traits

Farshim is a bit gruff, and doesn't tolerate "idiots or those who think they're better than other folk". However he friendly with most othe folk, in fact if you let him he will regale you with tales of days travelling the world with his brother. He is becoming a little forgetful, and his nieces sometimes have to remind him of what he was doing but he can still work out how much changed is owed in his head.
