Rhodinia

Rhodinia is a world of religion, chivalry and high fantasy that shares some similarities with 10th-century Earth, drawing inspiration from fairy tales, medieval European history and religious practices, and the symbology & mysticism of the tarot. It is a world without seas or oceans, one where darkness threatens to engulf the last lights of civilisation.   In the absence of Holy Ourania, the Lady our Goddess, Mother of the World, who lies far beyond the world She dredged out from the Weird, the corrupting miasma of sin pouring out from the dark heart of the abyssal Falldire has infected the world, corrupting many of the archaeons to whom She entrusted its protection.   For over three hundred years, the Great Land of Trodos was protected by the Knights of Castle Mythsilver—or, as most people called them, the Knights of the Flying Castle—but they were betrayed by their so-called allies and their glorious castle was cast to the ground. Now, with the Knights all hunted down or sent into hiding by the fanatical disciples of the Lunatic Seer, it falls to the ordinary people of Var Zhuvol to defend themselves from the savage monsters, the cruel tyrants and the many other evils that haunt them.
