Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A very old gluten. He is carried everywhere on a palanquin, or on a chariot, and struggles to move by himself. He is often found eating rich foods even when meeting with people.
He is normally wearing the White robes (robes of the Arch-magi) as befit a Pontiff of Aphelia, and he wears the Pontiffs crown, a large hat with gaudy but ornate resemblance of The Ever-Flame of Aphelia.

Body Features

A large gut which falls down over is small weak legs.

Facial Features

Sunken Eyes and sallow wrinkled skin marked with blotchy liver spots.

Personal history

He was born to the Calsidion family, a former great house of the Cayonne kingdom. He had an older sister who would inherit the family seat, so he left his home to seek out honour in a different way. He joined the faith through the Order of the Stormguards and joined them on their second crusade at the age of 19. He remained in the Westreaches until the fall of the crusade in 265 when he returned home with the small group of surviving Stormguards. He had gone through the ranks and was a very promising Warrior for the Order, but on his return he discovered what had happened to his family, as the leaders of the order thought it best not to tell him while he was away.
His whole mentality changed, and his family honour took over. From that point he started using the Order as a vehicle for personal gain and revenge, under the guise of his unrelenting devotion to Aphelia.

Family Ties

The second child of House Calsidion, he was never supposed to take the family seat, so he left to join the crusade. While he was gone His house fell to a civil war within Cayonne. His whole life from then he has seemed to be trying to extract revenge on the Cayone lineage, but without doing it outwardly.

Religious Views

Although he is the Pontiff of the church of Aphelia, he mainly got there as a means to gain more power. He uses his faith as a means of cover, but he has never really been that devout.

Social Aptitude

He is charismatic, and is bordering between confidence and arrogance. In his age he has lost most tact, so he often cuts straight to the point once he is alone with a person and not having to keep the cover of faith.

Mannerisms

He uses the gesture to aphelia often when he says things which could be deemed to be blasphemous. The gesture is crossing both hands over their chest with the face of each thumb facing, forming two wings and a candle.

Wealth & Financial state

He was born into the wealthy Calsidion family, the former rulers of Travan. Marius has never had to want for anything in his life, and once he became pontiff he has so much wealth and influence that he uses it to play games with the kingdoms.
