Rhime

This is a world far beyond the Earth... occupying the same space. Millenia after an apocalypse, the nature of which has been scrubbed from history, people have rebuilt the world in the shape of a fairy tale. Fantasy races roam the world: all manners of elves, dwarves, and more. Humans are still prevalent, but they must share the land with many others. Artifacts still remain of that past world, but very few still know how to operate them. Myths have been twisted, facts have faded into legend, letters and sounds of the modern world have been warped. It is otherwise unrecognizable to Earth's former inhabitants. Even the name is unrecognizable; the world's inhabitants call it Eoan, the World of Blessed Dawn.   Our focus is on Rhime, a large continent in the Sporantic Sea. On this continent is all manner of landforms. Forests, plains, and lakes abound; rivers weave through the provinces that span coast to coast. There are plenty of small towns, and huge cities dot the landscape, the most notable being Rusk. In this city lives an Empress of great wisdom and standing. She rules the continent with a velvet glove concealing an iron fist.   But lately there have been rumors. Tales of creatures from beyond the Beyond, dark shapes no one can look at directly lest they go mad. These rumors are starting to hit closer to home. The inhabitants of Rhime can only watch and wait as the world they know is slowly being picked apart by the searching tendrils of an unfathomable horror...
