Savage Invasion

The Savage Invasion was one of the many bloody attacks that occurred in the history of Aidin. The battle occurred between the Tieflings of North Aidin and the former North Aidiners turned South Aidiners who wished to remove Tieflings from Aidin.

The Conflict

Prelude

In 523-524, a large population of Tieflings came to Aidin on ships from the West, and the discord between the foreigners and natives caused the Tiefling - Aidiner war to happen in which the Tieflings, led by Kyrus Mantren ceased power, causing many non-Tiefling Aidiners to grow resentment and anger towards the new inhabitants. This caused a large population of Aidiners to flee to create a new civilization to the South East called South Aidin . For the next 14 years the new, separated civilization saw it their duty to take back what is rightfully theirs - they wished to revolt against the horned people - and in this time many children were trained and specifically fed more to grow into strong warriors. This was the Savage generation, a generation of brutish warriors, which included its leaders, the strongest among the youth - Onp and Drax Savage.

Deployment

The Tiefling king - Kyrus had ruled for 22 years, which was plenty of time for the citizens of the new South Aidin to train and create plans to overthrow the ruling Tieflings. The leader of the Savage Invasion was Onp Savage, a well-respected individual amongst the Savage Generation for being the physically strongest and most powerful amongst his peers.
A large fighting force of nearly 100 individuals, half of whom were of the Savage Generation went into North Aidin during the time of night. They went into houses and silently searched for Tieflings who they went on to kill. Their main priority though was taking out the ruling Tiefling -Kyrus Mantren so the invasion led to the Royal Palace where the important part of the battle ensued. It was rumoured that a Tiefling man who had been in the street had noticed the sneaking attackers and ran to warn his king, who had enough time to get most of his guards and fellow warriors awake and ready. Much blood was spilt in the Royal Palace with the brutes using their strength and steel weaponry to slay their opponents, whereas the Tieflings relied on their innate magic, although there were still some guards who preferred using normal spears or swords. The Savages eventually won in the palace although the combat and battle throughout the city continued for a few more days.

Outcome

As Onp Savage was specifically the one to duel Kyrus Mantren and win, he was also the one to suffer the mysterious curse that had befallen him. It is unknown if it was Kyrus himself, a fellow Tiefling or an outside force but Onp Savage had received a curse that acted like a virus which slowly, over the span of the next year, killed the young man. A year that was spent with him ruling though.
Many Tieflings were executed and many fled out of North Aidin, drastically reducing the Tiefling population in North Aidin.

Aftermath

With the Tiefling rule having been abolished and Onp's rule of less than a year having ended due to his death, Drax Savage became the new ruler of Aidin for the next 7 years during which Drax ruled tyrannically, with an iron fist, killing many people, many of which were innocent. He, over the span of his rule, quickly became more mad and paranoid, causing the deaths of many who he taught were planning to oppose him. He also specifically targeting Tieflings reduced the Tiefling population, at least in the city itself to nearly 0. Eventually his reign was put to an end with a group of Tieflings, led by Ekris Raeburner, killing the mad king.
