Ravoroth Clan
The Ravoroth clan is a noble Black Dragonborn clan which sits atop The Dragon Mountain. They have no allies and act as an independent, yet powerful force. They share the Dragon Mountain with Trinity City, although they aren't really pleased by that fact, since the two civilizations don't get along well.
Demographics
The Ravoroth clan purely consists of Dragonborn's although it has captured and uses some other creatures, mainly kobolds to do labour for them, mainly mining.
Government
The Ravoroth is ruled by one single monarch - The Dragon Lord.
Defences
The Ravoroth Clan is heavily defended, and well so. The entire clan is mainly based around their combat prowess and military might so it comes as no surprise to see what impenetrable defences they have. These defences include a tall and wide wall with multiple bastions, the steep slopes that surround the clan's fortification, the multiple bastions inside of the walls for archers and look-out to use.
Guilds and Factions
There are no guilds nor factions in the clan as they'd have to have some kind of ruler for each, and the Dragon Lord doesn't wish for anyone to come close in power as him, as to not have any rebellions brewing. The closest thing to factions though are just the profession divisions - miners, soldiers, watch etc.
History
A long time back, the Ravoroth Clan was the sole civilization which lived atop the Dragon Mountain, ruled by a legendary Black Dragon called Ravoroth. Back in those times, the Dragonborn weren't all black-scaled either it instead was a heavy mix between all types of Dragonborn of various colours, although all of them communally served Ravoroth, mainly hunting for its food and adding minerals to its hoard that they had mined up. Those days, the Dragonborn were strictly split up by their professions, the main three sections being the soldiers, the miners and the hunters/foragers.
For reasons unknown, Ravoroth, the mighty Black Dragon told its followers that it will be leaving and never coming back. It told the Dragonborn that they will have to live by themselves, with no one to guide them except their own. The Dragon then, in a hurry, told the divisions to clash, so there'd only be one victorious race of Dragonborn who would be able to inherit the Dragon's power. The soldier district easily and unfairly won as they had all of the weapons and armour, where's the other districts, not being militarily based, at best had pickaxes. Ravoroth made all of the surviving Dragonborn, who at this point were only roughly a sixth of the previous populace, kneel down before him, as he breathed his green, acidic breath all over them. As they stood up, all of their scales had turned black. Many felt new strength arise in them and some felt arcane powers within them be unlocked. Ravoroth fled, never to be heard again by the Ravoroth Clan. A Dragonborn ruler was put in place in the stead of Ravoroth, receiving the title of Dragon Lord. The Dragonborns thought that this was a test from Ravoroth to see if they would stay loyal to the dragon. That is why the clan decided to continue their worship and praise of Ravoroth.
Years later, the other inhabitants of the mountain, who until then had never dared to go up, because of the dreaded Dragon's roar that would give them nightmares, decided to head up the mountain and see what had happened since they had not received any sign of the Dragon in a long time. These were the Goliath and Aarakocra who until then had stayed and made homes near the middle of the Mountain, higher than the other races living down below, yet not too high to be close to the Dragon that could eat them and burn their civilizations. At first, battles boiled between the Goliath and Aarakocra people against the Ravoroth Dragonborn, although in the span of a few years, they were taken in, and let to form a settlement on top of the mountain. Still to this day, the Ravoroth clan call this their biggest mistake.
The Goliath and Aarakocra advanced in making their city but as it grew, it also reduced the Ravoroth Clan territories, which was not well received. A war broke out and although the Ravoroth Clan had the upper hand for most of it, when the Goliath and Aarakocra gained assistance from a huge mass of Kobolds, they were beaten and a stalemate was achieved. The Goliath, Aarakocra and Kobolds formed the Trinity City, taking roughly 30 - 40% of the Dragon Mountain territory, leaving the rest to the Ravoroth Clan.
The Ravoroth Clan has stayed silent and idle, never accepting any trade offers or meetings with Trinity City, until this day, being kept in their keep, perhaps hoping to fight back another day.
Geography
Ravoroth Clan is located at the top of the Dragon Mountain. It is entirely rocky and quite uneven, but through hard labour, the main part of the Ravoroth Clan territory was made more even and better for making structures upon it.
