Mercy is the Professor of Restoration and Healing at the Celestine Royal Academy, and the resident head doctor. Having come from a religious background as a Cleric of Pelor, Mercy turned to teaching when she believed there should be more avenues of healing besides prayer and rites.
Consequently, she is currently the foremost authority on medical necromancy. Mercy has so far refused to comment whether or not her interest in the topic had anything to do with leaving the Church of Pelor.

Personal history

Originally a cleric for the Church of Pelor, Mercy was working for the Cathedral of Pelor in Gran Veritas when the The Grey Plague hit. After struggling for months to find a cure for the diseased, she grew dissatisfied with her superiors and left the church to seek answers at The Orrery. A cure was eventually found, and Mercy returned to the church to share the medicine with her brothers and sisters in faith-- only to find they had all passed away from the Plague in her absence.
Since then she has returned to the Orrery and worked as both a professor and a nurse, constantly chasing after injured students' shenanigans.
