Cult of Tuono

The Cult of Tuono is a religious cult formed through fundamentalist teachings of the Hallowed Faith. Members of the cult, like many within the Hallowed Faith, believe Tuono to be the supreme deity of their reality, however, unlike other members of the faith, they also believe that they are carrying out the original will of Tuono by attempting to create methods of committing mass genocide of living creatures, their fellow man being the prime target. This belief derives from the origin story of the Hallowed Faith wherein Tuono attempts to destroy the creations of his children in order to bring balance to his domain, leading to the death of his physical being. The cultists are known to form secretive societies generally based within medical and administrative institutions and attempt to use these positions of power to meet their agenda. The primary weapon used by the cult is that of biological weapons, as they seek to develop diseases through which to infect and eliminate life.
Though the cult is best known in local myths and horror stories as determined mass-murderers, the cult's devotion to Tuono often goes much deeper than such a singular goal. Tuono, though most commonly thought of as the god of death and wisdom, is also said to hold powers of precognition, to near omnipotent power. As such, Tuono has power over all living things that stem from his creations (children) and may determine the deaths of man. In their capacity as healers and hospitaliers, the Cult of Tuono is also known to take on the role of saviour and heal individuals on the cusp of death back to full strength. This will to spare those for whom Tuono's call has not yet come has led many to speculate that the cult members themselves have been granted supernatural powers by their deity.
