The Zodiacs

The nineteen-hundreds.     The late height of musical talent.     But it was also a prime year.     Recorded as taking place sometime in the late nineteen sixties, a group of college students had been attending their musical institution together, and the topic of spreading multiple genres of music had come to mind. Although it proved to be equal ground that they wished to delve into only one particular flavor of music, there was a willingness amongst the group to spread their talents and time to try something new.     The band, consisting of twelve members who were a mixed band of Kitsune, Humans, Fielne and others began to practice with multiple styles of music, mainly country, folk, modern and even the uncommon classical styles favored by the Kitsune of that time period in countries like Opron, which was considered a staple of many of their festivities and holidays throughout the year. These twelve friends happened to have each been born sometime throughout each month of the year, and after some thought and deliberation, they agreed heavily upon the name The Zodiacs.     Their leader, the Human Dawson Maddax, began their career by advertising their group as a multi-genre experimentalists group, willing to experiment with various musical styles in favor of becoming a country favorite of one in particular in Aswary, which he advertised would be the decision of the people to make for them to help them find their roots and to help them hit the ground running when the time came for their big debut.     They spent three years in this limbo as they travelled the world with their talents.     And it took one more before they settled.     But they didn't settle on just one genre as they had planned. Instead, since they had spent so much time playing various styles of music and investing so much time in learning those various genres, it became harder and harder to stick to just one. So they continued playing and practicing until finally they had caught the attention of the far side of the continent, and when the time came for the local Ghostmare's Eve celebration, the mayor of Home in Opron's Kitsune County wrote them a letter eagerly pleading for their talents to come to Opron to play in their two-day-long festivities on none other than the farm of the Furbalson's, just outside the city on a tranquil but sizeable farm for the public who were hoping for the best talent that the city could find. The letter explained that several local bands had promised to play, but that one had mentioned The Zodiacs as a hopeful little gang with some big hearts and even bigger talents. Eager to travel and step outside their comfort zone, the Zodiacs packed their gear and headed east, bidding a fond farewell to the city folk they had grown so close to. This was now in the mid nineteen-seventies, and the band was still going strong. They arrived in the city just in time for the festivities, and were an instant hit with the public when the nights came for the party. They had learned their craft so well that many were convinced they had never used more than one style before at all, and although the Zodiac members were proud of the thoughts of the public feeling so well about them, they admitted to spreading their talents and learning everything they could about every possible musical style that they could find.      Throughout the years, they had held the same roster. Dawson Maddax, Carbyn Elyot, Rayven Rachle, Takumi - Skillful - Yoshi - Happy - Neka, Kuzie, Elre - an Elf - Athinos, Eustes - Nathair - and two Biene named Eyst and Gegin. The latter two were mute members of the band but were very skillful in bass sections of music, able to harmonize on their wings to the different low frequencies, and proved almost invaluable to the band throughout their years together. Sometime in the late nineties however some of the members stepped away to other pursuits, such members being Gegin, replaced by another Biene, Regin; as well as Rachle, Elre and Carbyn, all replaced by respective members of those months of the year, which was a qualification made unique to the Zodiacs and their band when they had first appeared. Dawson is though to be the longest-running band member alongside Eyst and Carbyn's cousin Neka, with the rest making occasional breakout's and being replaced by other members. As of the mid two-thousands, the roundup has changed once more, with Dawson still taking the lead as the band's lead guitarist. Dawson Maddax, Neka, Kasra - Dawson's eventual wife since the early thousands - Kartr, Eyst, Reptar and Virion - Elf siblings from Opron - Sama, Szale - one of only three Psedi to have been in the band - Tomio, Shoji and finally Momoe, the most recent Fielne to have joined the band.      Their top country/folk song title has been voted: "Just North Of 'I Love You'", a song written by Dawson, Kasra and co-written by Kasra's sister Lylah, in two-thousand-three.
