Conan 'The Kraken' Nutlea

Conan 'The Kraken' Nutlea     Not your average pirate.     He sails onboard a small ship. With the body of a galleon and the length of a clipper, this ship is not the strongest in the world or the fastest ship either.     By standards for other pirates of the world, his vessel, named 'The Migrator', is slower than most, topping out at only ten to fifteen miles per hour, and is equipped with only one large sail and four cannons, all of them mounted on the main deck ahead of the steering, which is located on the stern of the vessel, but behind the bow where Conan can be found as his ship is sailing. The ship can carry a few hundred pounds or so of cargo and ammunition comfortably before being overburdened by weight and it's speed lessened by however much weight has been added to the ship.     And yet still, Conan is not your average pirate.     He is found primarily in the Lethaehrhraeeln, piloting his vessel across the oceans and mapping every island he can find as well as searching for the treasures that are surely buried there to be found. Conan, despite his name, is a peaceful pirate which is a rarity amongst his fellows even in modern times, and spends his days adventuring across the oceans in search of treasure and new islands to explore, although it is not uncommon that he will defend himself should another pirate try to open fire against him for whatever reasons may present themselves. He was born mute, and spent his early years drawing the plans for the Migrator vessel that would become his home on the ocean, and although he would occasionally dock and wait to ride out storms that were too dangerous for his small but worthy ship, he would always worry that should one storm be too much, his vessel might be waiting at the bottom of the bay when next he came back to take it out to sea again. Thankfully these incidents never happened though, allowing him to take The Migrator from the docks and back out into the wild open ocean for yet another exploration with endless possibilities waiting for him.      And yet still, there is one more detail about Conan that most do not believe.     Conan is not human.     Conan is in fact a red Piffle, who had once served under a Human pirate by the same name as his own, until the pirate's death of old age while still docked at a port somewhere in the oceans of the Lethaehrhraeeln, having been suffering from slowly deteriorating health issues for the past few years of his life. With his last words, the old pirate wished for his companion to continue sailing until he too becomes too old to do so and passes away peacefully. Until then, the little pirate is to keep sailing and to discover all the things that the pirate had failed to find during his life and to continue growing in wealth and knowledge until the time comes that they will again meet. Conan has since become a very able pirate of the small ship, able to pirate it himself from the helm having created a large series of ropes and pullies to change the positions and heights of the sails from the helm without having to move great distances save for up and down a rope rigging to the crow's nest at the top of the ship, as is a common maneuver amongst pirates and their ships even in modern times.      It is thought that Conan knows many of the pirates of the mortal realm and that he is able to pilot his ship through the realm walls and into the mortal realms at his own will, seemingly able to teleport between them at a moment's notice, shrouded only by a small bank of fog or a stray cloud that will mask his movement between the realms at the moment of travel. He is obviously quiet but cares to listen, and often communicates through eye, mouth and body movements that many other pirates simply regard as his way of talking back even though his voice cannot be heard.      He wears a small black tricorn cap with a golden coin stitched into the front, as well as a bandana underneath and an appropriately sized captain's coat over his body, all of which he can take on and off at will with the telekinetic powers possessed by all members of his race. He is thought to know only one other Piffle, named Hershel, who is owned by the pirate Etheldreda 'Con-Artist' Ramsay, who sails mainly on the seas of Tarris Six for her work. How often Conan and Hershel meet is not known, but ever since their first encounter, they have always been the best of friends.     If ever you see Conan sitting alone in a bar or tavern with his ship docked not too far away, give him a smile and a nod, and spill a tale or two of your latest adventure out at sea. He may be willing to incline an ear, and if you listen close, he may even offer a story of his own.
