World Forged
The World Forges were found in collapsed heaps below ancient ruins and ancient forests, and are thought to be the temples of ancient deities. Over the ages the forges have produced some of the most powerful tools and weapons known to exist, but nothing is understood about their origin, their purpose, or how they work.

Few have been functional, but some have become active at odd times throughout history before becoming dormant, producing many marvelous and incomprehensible products while they are active, and becoming the source of many powerful objects.
Complexity
The goods produced by the World Forges are thought to be possessed of almost otherworldly power. No one has been able to come close to replicating the complexity produced, and many kingdoms have risen to or fallen from power at the hands of even a single object wrought in a World Forge.
Discovery
The World Forges were discovered in ruins throughout the world, though most remain dormant for centuries at a time.
