The Sadar

Torando, Chief of the Spirals, Ever Beset, Defender of Marren, Ravagers of Raports, and Proctor of the Ranso Valley looked at me. He stared at me with so much incredulity that i could feel his rage heat the room. He used his massive frame as a point of emphasisis that he was displeased and I could die at his leisure, no guards or real struggle on his part. It was exellerating, one doesn't encounter such raw presences in the protected heart regions of the south or even the Raptor capitals of the east anymore. Those civilizations do so much politicking that...Oh, i'm rambling again, I will leave myself a note and return to this section later, but I digress.
Torando pondered before daining to answer my question. "I never liked half-horses. Its something about the way they look combined with the fact the bastards raid into our lands as much as the cursed raptors."
He stood before turning to stare out the hut's one window, clasping his hands behind his back. He took another pause, leaving no doubt that he, not I was pacing this conversation, before he finally proceeded. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to share a boarder with a species that doesn't recognize boarders? Atleast the <Curse> raptors respect our territory enough to know when they are being bastards, but those fucking half-horses, they, they simply don't understand. I have no issues with fighting. You really don't have that luxury in my part of the world, but you do gain a certain fatigue for pointless bloodshed. Every conflict I ever fought with those damned half-horses was, because of a miscommunication. I've worked my entire life to secure that damned boarder, but those inane centaurs always range over. It sounds like no problem, as long as they behave, but thats the thing. They don't. They take our children as wards, forage our crops and hassle our villagers with their strange ways. You see, most herds and I have an understanding, rather I understand them. If I can get someone to a herd incursion fast enough, the situation usually resolves. However, the local chiefs tend to not be patient with their children being taken, and often ride to war, even if the far simpler solution is just asking for their sons and daughters back." I didn't notice when he turned to face me, as I was fair to busy recording my notes. Thus, I gave him a good indication of my jump height when I noticed he moved. Thankfully, this caused him to laugh and not crush me for insolence. Once he was done laughing he returned to his chair and continued. "What was your question again? Are there any Centaurs that I allow in my territory? Yes, there are. One group has free access to my territories, The Sadar." Torando let out a brief chuckle. "You must think me a savage warrior king, my people primal and backwards. You'd be wrong about the former, I saw the luxuries, decedence and joys of the south and wanted that for my people. I just didn't know how to get it to them. We live hard lives here, art and science are not priorities when Raptor slavers or Automations assail your territory daily. The Sadar fixed that. I allow them to roam and teach their culture, entertain my peoples and develop my artisans. That sole group of horsemen is the reason I avoid slaughtering every herd that enters my boarder. They are truly the best of creation.
Centaurs: A study by XX
The Sadar are a unique people, universally liked and constantly at peace. The herd of traveling artisans, doctors, and poets roam the great eastern plans and across into Mar. They are excellent statesmen and have the uncanny ability to negotiate peace (or avoid war) with any civilization they come into contact with.  The Sadar work to enhance or assist in the world's cultural enrichment. Their Sada (leaders) working diligently to spread awareness and contentment to any civilization they come into contact with.
Their art and songs are the talk of the world over. More notably, the cultural explosions of the nations they visit are unparalleled. Truly, they are the best of the world, unfortunately there is not enough of them
