2020/05/24: Visiting Pele's Mom Report

Still trying to get to the tower. Now we’re up against an adventurer team. Crusader, fire wizard, nervous young cleric girl, smug knife rogue, tall polearm fighter, archetypical dwarf with golden axe and heavy armor, cute elven girl with very elven equipment.
Advice from the summoned adventurers: “Don’t trash talk the guardians, and especially don’t lose to them after trash talking them.” There are guardians on every floor of the tower.
After some conversation and magic, we skipped right to messaging the owner of the tower, and Pele got to have a nice(ish) reunion with her mom. Apparently her mom thought the orphanage was entirely legitimate, and had no idea it was a front for an Animus Society research facility. The mom wasn’t all that warm, but she doesn’t seem to be evil, so that’s good.
Now we’re journeying underwater to find a thing.
