Motivation
I was not there for Romania... I will be there for humanity.One of Clara's biggest failings was holding back resources in the past while Russia methodically steamrolled Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania, her ancestral country. Due to her failing, thousands upon thousands of people died fighting or were executed by incoming Russian troops. Due to this failure, she feels that she is responsible for the deaths, and her fighting for humanity today is "making up" for her mistakes in the past.

I was surprised to see the change manifested in Clara during battle. Her normally warm, caring self, became the most cold-blooded commander I'd ever seen. Every atom in her body, it seemed, became occupied with the achievement of victory.Clara is a highly charismatic and extroverted leader. In general, when she is not preoccupied with fighting the enemy, she appears very warm, personal, caring, and a little shy. During meetings she is heavily argumentative and opinionated, but her general "tough love" personality has built many friendships. In battle, her mannerisms are reversed, and she seems more machine than man, calculating stratagems to achieve objectives while minimizing losses. One could say that she is controlling, perfectionistic, and overly pragmatic, but she retorts that when one controls human lives, it is one's duty to achieve perfection. If you catch her off-guard in her study, there is the off-chance that you will see her in a less-prepared, less-shielded state. In this case, she tends to go immediately on the defensive and is easily irritable. She appears uncomfortable and makes only superficial small talk. Sometimes, she makes you wonder who she really is behind that mask of professionalism.
