Honru

The term "Honru," which translates most directly to "person," refers to any of the peoples native to the Western Isles. Since the Deepening, at least ten of these peoples exist. They are referred to by other cultures as tribes; they refer to themselves as "wothom," which seems to refer to organisms with a symbiotic relationship with each other. The tribes once shared a language, but the distance between islands has led to some linguistic drift to the point where the resulting dialects are almost mutually unintelligable--they're languages in their own right. Some common vocabulary remains across the isles.   The dialect of the Mupf tribe, the largest and most central, is seen as the standard or lingua franca.   Many of the remaining tribes still speak some form of Jubarish due to colonization in the past and the proximity of the Juberish speakers to the east.
