The Western Highland

Overview

Ondsone is a large region making up most of the western half of the Second Gift. The Yoken homeland is, over all, dry and inhospitable, a last bit of life before the gift peters out and gives way to the sprawling black desert.
Within there are a number of sub regions

High Ondsone Plateau

The largest of the highlands, Ondsone Plateau serves as the hub for the Yoken Empire. It is the location of their capital at Great Hollow Peak, as well as an agricultural center. The Majority of the highland population lives here.

Yodhelo Plateau

Yodhelo is a mining nation, reliant upon High Ondsone for other resources, the region hit its peak during the last great war, when fueling the military machine kept the goods flowing in and out of the region. In more recent years what has not turned over to manufacturing of domestic goods has fallen away, leaving those who remain in the area deep in hard times.

The farthest west that life dares go, this small valley is the cradle of Yoken Civilization. Here, their culture grew and blossomed for hundreds of years, thriving on fertile fields and rich ores which they traded with the wealthy Aelokorans. The Yoken abandoned this place several centuries ago, leaving it in favor of life at GHP. Since this time, most of the valley has been claimed by the Black Desert.

Geography

The region is dominated by high and rocky mountains.
