Their skulls resemble those of hyenas, though thicker and heavier.

Dietary Needs and Habits
Carnivorous, predominantly nocturnal hunters. Most gnolls kill about 70% their own meat while the other 30% comes from scavenging.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Gnolls prefer living in warm, arid regions and can find homes in grasslands, savannas, woodlands, deserts, forests and mountains.
