Test Bridge
Type
Bridge
This small insignificant bridge near the Doorwerth Castle crossing a little stream. Is a test project from a local ingenieur to figure out how to use metal arches into bridge design.
The bridge consists of two bridge heads build up out of masonry. Crossing the stream, wedged inbetween the two bridge heads are four metal arches. The arhces are latice work of small iron pieces, riveted together. The middle of the arch supports a wooden bridge deck, which in turn is covered in cobble stone.
