The Silver Lands

The Silver Lands are not so called for silver ore (there isn't any), but for the abundant waters which cross the region through streams and rivers. It is said the rivers reminded Lord Elhren of the flowing wealth of his birthplace. Life dwells where water flows, and nowhere is this more true than in the Silver Lands.

The rolling, fertile plains support many various crops for several plantings throughout the year. The mild climate allows farmers to grow most anything they desire. All manner of fruits and grains and vegetables are harvested in such quantity that caravans and ships take the excess to even the remote places; thus it is said 'By Silver is hunger satisfied.'

But the Silver Land is not only farmland. A vast forest carefully tended covers the mountains, which supply planks for shipyards, firewood for homes, and timber for builders. Wood for arrows and spears is also harvested, but the best comes from older forests.

Geography

The many rivers crossing the Silver Lands flood regularly thanks to Lord Elhren's command of waters. Before he came the floods had no such sense of times and seasons. It is due to his influence that such a large population is able to live in unity with the silver waters.

The Silver Lands extend from the mountains to the sea, where ships from every corner take refuge during the winter storms.

Fauna & Flora

At once the most prevalent and least noticeable of the creatures in the Silver Lands is the water fox, so called because these playful yippers can become water. No, you can't drink them. Any stream or fountain most likely has at least half a dozen mischievous foxes just waiting for a chance to drench a lucky passerby.
