A Slate is a magitech device that is linked to its Number user. This device keeps track of its Number's vitals and if the user is about to die, the Slate teleports itself back to home base in order to be gifted to the next Number to be pulled out of stasis. In addition the Slate can serve as a means of communication while in areas that have secured communication towers and tracks information on the current status of Number objectives.
