Since time in memorium the Gods have twisted mortals to their will, fighting over the Esssence of Creation the Ether. All living things come from it, and it has the power to shape worlds and bend reality. Thus both gods and mortals demand its power and wish to rule over it.   In each era this war has caused mortals and supernatural beings to fight for superiority. From the early days of the first races battling, to the middle ages where vampires and demons roamed the world.
