The Living Sea

"The Living Sea is a very interesting section of the planet. It's considered a natural and unnatural at the same time. It's a combination of the natural beauty of the Material Plane and the rampant fey magics of the Fey Wilds. It's interesting actually if you think about it. We haven't seen any other planes so close to the Material Plane including the Ethereal Plane. What makes the Living Sea so special? Or is it the Fey Wilds that's trying to reclaim the Material Plane? Or is it something we don't understand? Do the denizens know the powers of peanut butter? All these questions not enough answers."   ~ Calth Frankenstien

Geography

The Living Sea is a thick forest with trees that move due to the essence of the Fey Wilds. In addition to the abnormal environment the geography yields swamps, plains, jungles, and only the Living Sea in Utagosh has a tundra type of environment.   The main points of interest in the Living Sea are the Shifter's Grove, the Botanical Plains, the Raging Rapids of the Yalethen River, and the Seelie and Unseelie territories that they call home whilst on the Material Plane.

Fauna & Flora

The Living Sea's abnormal climate pattern allows a menagerie of different flora and fauna found all over the world and in the Fey Wilds.

History

The Living Sea was first documented during the Age of Umber by the name of Ilmar Whispers to Tree. Ilmar annotated in his studies, The Botanical Marvels and Mysteries, that he was lost in a forest for months and could never find his way out. The only reason for his escape was the assistance of an inhabitant of the Living Sea.   During the accounts he noted the growth of rare herbs and animals that were only read about in books. The trees would yield a years worth of fruit in a matter of weeks.
