Fungal Forest Community

A small settlement at the edge of the Fungal Forrest, the Fungal Forest Community consists of individuals from the Golgari Guild who desired a life away from Guild politics and whom have taken over an abandoned settlement and have been surviving off of the nearby mushroom forest. With plans in place to eventually build a small town with only a few permanent buildings, the community plans to grow by foraging from the nearby forest and harvesting its native, and hard to come by, ingredients and then selling these ingredients to the Golgari Guild. By doing this, they will beable to not only have enough income to resurrect the abandoned settlement and provide for future generations, but also remain connected to the Golgari Guild and not become guildless and left on their own deep below Ravnica's streets.
The settlement itself was created five years previously, and was believed to be abandoned after a disease struck the previous inhabitants, and they died due to their refusal to seek help. Determined to learn from the past mistakes of others, the Fungal Forest Community boasts two healers and all the inhabitants have been trained to spot the symptoms of many common sicknesses. At the moment, the community only has a few houses that have been fix for residential use and a general storage location as well as a community dinning house. Eventually the settlement plans to have a General Store, as well as a Dinner, but those plans are far in the future.
Located deep below the streets of Ravnica, deeper than even the ruins that the Golgari Guild live in and make their homes, the Fungal Forest is a large underground cavern that consists of towering mushrooms, a large flowing river and old forgotten ruins. The mushrooms themselves retain the overall portions of mushrooms found all over Ravnica, except the ones that grow in the Fungal Forest reach heights of up to forty feet. As such, the flora and fauna that thrive in the Fungal Forest can be found no where else, and fetch a large price on the market. Even the crystals that are found in the forest tend to have unique properties, although harvesting them can bring its own set of problems.
