*Lothaire’s Allies include the Mayor, the Chief of Police, and the Captain of the Fire Department. His contacts include a Private Investigator and a member of the local Mafia. His Fame is discreet in that he is only known to a select few of the richest and most powerful people in Ravenhurst. His herd is a small group of beautiful young women he Dominates so ruthlessly as to keep them helpless. His resources come from his stake in a number of art galleries and minor media companies. His retainers are all Ghouls but only two of them serve as bodyguards, namely Frank Sloan and Erich Winters. The other three ghouls are Jacob Marx and Deirdre Stiles who serves as agents and support staff along with Julia Lancaster who Lothaire prizes for her great beauty and skill at manipulating others.

Backstory: Alec Lothaire started out life as the son of a city-bred merchant in the south of France. Alec’s father wanted him to follow in his footsteps but Alec had other plans, mainly being a poet and storyteller. Naturally this led to a rift between Lothaire and his family which led to his father disowning him. Lothaire drifted around for a while until he could learn the craft of poetry. His work drew the attention of his soon-to-be Sire, Talia Thane. However, the Embrace tore him away from his mortal lover who was pregnant with his child. The angst this generated him was almost impossible to bear and he never forgave Talia for it. He wound up Diablerizing her shortly before the founding of the Camarilla in 1493. He was a wanted fugitive among the Camarilla for several years before being granted a pardon in 1504.
After this, he slowly made his way around Europe, during which time he eventually Sired his own Childe, Danika Krauss. He eventually left Europe for the New World with Danika in tow to settle in Ravenhurst, Connecticut. It wasn’t long before he clashed with the former Prince of Ravenhurst, the Brujah Aaron Whistler over Domain and feeding rights as well as the direction the city was taking. Aaron’s popularity was starting to wane and it wasn’t long before Lothaire was able to gather support from the other Kindred in a bid to oust Prince Whistler. During the mortals’ American Revolutionary War which was used as a cover from said mortals, Lothaire and his allies began their own war against Whistler. This Kindred war became known as the Time of Bloody Constraint. It ended with the seeming death of Prince Whistler who was supposedly burned down along with his manor house Haven. It was a victory tinged with sadness for Lothaire, however. He lost friends. He was also betrayed by his closest friend, the Toreador artist Noah Smallwood, who was slain by Nathaniel Montgomery. Lothaire became the new Prince and has molded the city of Ravenhurst to his own liking. He also Sired his second Childe, Artemis Castellana. However, in recent years Lothaire has come under a sort of malaise. He intuitively feels that the time of his demise may come soon at the hands of mysterious forces of the Jyhad. But he isn’t sure which direction the blade will fall from. He has also been thinking more and more about his mortal lover and her child and what could have been, how he could have been happier if he had never been Embraced. Deep down he welcomes Final Death as an escape from his boredom and depression. So now the poet turned Kindred plans his final and greatest masterwork. A tragic epic poem to be written not with words but with blood and death on a citywide scale. If he is to die, he plans to take the city of Ravenhurst with him. Kindred and Kine alike will join him in the ashes.
Image: Lothaire is supernaturally charismatic and handsome, like some sort of angelic man with eyes a shade of light blue as to be almost silver. He is clean-shaven with close-cropped black hair. He rarely smiles but when he does, the effect makes most mortals instantly like him. The only thing marring his image is a hint of something dark and inhuman in the glint of his eyes.
Roleplaying Hints: Never bow your head. When talking to someone, always look them in the eye with your intense and piercing gaze. Rarely smile but when you do, make it a subtle curl of the lips. When showing disdain, raise an authoritative eyebrow. Use the Presence power of Majesty at court and when dealing with Neonates. Once in a very rare while, drop your guard for the briefest second and let them see a hint of your hidden angst.
