Krurnistal Xen'alza

Lorekeeping Wanderer

Written by Tidus Demtrix

A Mortal thirsting for Knowledge

A Letter with a green wax seal of a grand tree

To those who have crossed my path,

My name is Krurnistal Xen'alza.

I am an individual of no relevance to the world at large. I am not interested in your wars, or your faiths here in Solith. By the end of our conversation, and the beginning of you reading these words, you will hardly remember me. A ghost who has, in this singular moment, touched in on your life seeking rumors or stories or knowledge of your surroundings. I do want to thank you for our brief exchange, as every person I meet satisfies my goal of learning more about life here in Solith, and commiting such knowledge to my books. So thank you. You have, in ways you will not remember, gifted those around you and those who will live on in the next generation with insight of what it is like to live right here and now.

Should you find yourself in a place of learning, what few I have come across, look for my name along the bindings of the books. If you do find it, I ask that you do take some time to open the pages, thumb through and casually enjoy what you will find throughout. I work hard to deliver every speck of information I gain right back into the hands of those who assist in the formation of such journals and tomes. Though it may not be the flights of fancy or interest some others write about, you may find yourself pleased at the imagery and artistic sketches my friends and I create on those nights by the campfire.

So, Thank you once again.

Exploring Lore Lover

Features

Though this individual seems to be forgotten soon after meeting, every sophont who recalls upon the name remarks of the verdant green eyes which mark the face of the being. Bright and mystical, they give off a warmth not many will share with the everyday passersby. Unjudging and welcoming, they are the singular feature that persists as a lasting memory of a kind conversation over a cup of tea.

Not Traceless, just forgotten

Xen'alza may be blessed, or cursed, with those who meet him to quickly forget he ever existed. However, this mysteriousness does not account for that which is written. Any ledgers of business or trade still remain with details of his purchases or deals, much to the dismay and confusion of those who run the businesses.

This strange effect is not unknown to him. Perhaps it is a powerful enchantment upon his person, as a means of protection and anonymity. Or perhaps it really is something he has been cursed with from divine or demonic sources, so that those he may attempt to teach will never remember the words.

The only being known to have surpassed this peculiar mind-altering effect is the scholarly, revered Elias Dods.
