Introduction

A unique material crafted only by the Elves of Wyldkeep, Blood Silk is used to create clothing specific to rituals involving increasing the longevity of an Elf of high standing. This material may not be innately magical but is very conductive to most magics.

This blood red material is renown for its smooth, fluid-like appearance. It is exquisitely smooth and often feels cool to the touch, especially on hot days. It seems to reflect light similar to a mirror when wet.

History & Usage

Discovery

It is believed that Blood Silk was a tradition of the Ancient Eld before they traveled across the Wyld. But most histories of that time have long been lost.

Refinement

In its raw state, Blood Silk is simply a very thin fiber created by several varieties of spider native to the Wyld. It must first be woven into a fine cloth before fermented within Elvish blood for nearly a year.

Like most textiles, Blood Silk only requires to be stored in a dark, cool environment away from the natural elements and various vermin. Due to its creation process, it is very prone to attract cockroaches and flies.
