Acolyte

Devoted to a Divine, but not necessarily channeling their power, you have spent your life in service to one of the many temples that can be found throughout Ravare. Though your duties hold symbolic value, you know there may be better ways to serve your Divine outside of the temples.
Work with your GM to understand which Divines are available for worship within your campaign and pick one.


Proficiencies

Choose one from: History, Insight, Intimidation, or Persuasion
Languages: choose common language.
Tools: Calligrapher’s Tools.


Starting Equipment

A holy symbol, a prayer book or prayer wheel, 5 sticks of incense, vestments (fine clothes), robe, and a pouch containing 15gp


Feature: Shelter of the Faithful

You and your adventuring companions can expect to receive free healing and care at a temple, shrine, or other established presence of your faith, though you must provide any material components needed for spells. Those who share your religion will support you (but only you) at a modest lifestyle. You might also have ties to a specific temple dedicated to your chosen Divine and have a residence there


Suggested Class: Cleric, Monk

The acolyte is a common default background for the cleric class, but could be appropriate for a monk, devout warrior, or other class.
