Baztez
A sprawling shanty town of a city that extends over and across the wide river it sits near. You can see below a mixture of stone and wooden buildings and wooden walkways leading over to stout buildings along with small ships that have been fashioned into a makeshift town that grew outward along the sprawling banks of the river.
Demographics
The town's position on the river has made it into a melting pot of a city. People from all races and walks of life live within it's walls. The city tends to have a shadier population but does have many different walks.
Government
The settlement is lorded over by The Crownsguard and The Feldrine Family. They keep the peace and make decisions. Jakob Swallow runs the town as their ambassador but the town is really run underground by The Family. They make sure they get a cut of every job and shady thing done in the city, a hand in every pocket.
Defences
The Crownsguard defend the city from any outside threat while The Family guards the city from threats coming from within.
Industry & Trade
The town taxes the Ships that roll through. Fishing Industry also provides a fair part of the trade for the city.

History
The town of Baztez grew from a pile of shipwrecks in the middle of the river before sprawling out along the banks and towards the forest, quickly being claimed as part of the Empire.

The city sits on a river that heads out to the Sea, making it a hub of travel in and out of the Empire. It backs on to a forest that was made for a tactical and resource based decision.
