Session 16 - Great Drake Debate

General Summary

Returning from the successful negation of an incursion, the group is immediately beset by reports of strange dragon-like wyrms that have been sighted near the Capulus estates. A high-value target that Deekin has a vested interest in, how will the group fare against this menace?

Having just resolved an altercation that saw many of the folks at the hospital stolen away, the group heeded the call of adventure.

Adventure Calls Screams

The group had no sooner returned home to the hospital than a screaming cry rang out to the north of the Capulus Estate. Jungle drakes, just coming into their mating season, were calling out a warning before the hunting and mating frenzy. Naturally, the group departed with all due haste to neutralize these creatures before they could start making meals of the nearby workers or the carefully arranged plantation and its precious crops.

Deekin, with his education in hunting creatures such as this, took point, and was instrumental in both starting the fight, and pointing out the lead drake who was able to keep their invisibility and do serious damage to the party. Deekin used his gun and his guile to whittle the drakes down. Cadok and Happenstance got to slashing the creatures with all of their might. Osburne and Lanasia started smashing them with their natural attacks. And Lamurias kept trying his best to keep people safe and healthy.

The Chaos Marked were triumphant, of course.

Wait, Wasn't There Something We Were Forgetting?!?!

With the drakes now taken care of, and the spoils of war returned, the group set their sights on Urveth and making sure that the outpost was alright after the strange extraplanar event sent everyone briefly into a strange whitespace. They found the people trepidatious, but generally unharmed. Though in every part of the city there were people doing their best to catalogue everyone who had gone missing, and return loved once to each other once they were found.

The group split at this point, with one group composed of most Cadok and Lamurias and Star Tusk heading toward the temple, while the others - minus Osburne who had headed toward the Thirsty Cockswain to discuss recipes with the cooking staff - went to the market where mayhem ensued. The Capulus Estate was officially granted the Tonberry Village as additional land by King Jareth of the Autumn, and as Biri is now a large creature she will be one of the first tenants of the new housing there.

The group in the market purchased several things, with Deekin - now changed after granting the heads of the felled drakes to his powerful draconic patron - becoming a founding backer of the Krispy Kobob Franchise, and Lanasia and company getting up to mayhem with Lanasia's scribing power.
